This fee can be paid either in U.S. dollars (cash) or Ukrainian hryvnyas. There is an ATM machine conveniently located in the American Citizen Services waiting room you can use, if you would like to withdraw hryvnyas from your credit card.

The changes in consular fees, which comes into effect on July 13, 2010, will cover actual operating expenses for our network of 301 consular posts abroad, 23 domestic passport agencies, and other centers that provide consular services to both U.S and foreign citizens.
